Nothing in life is free. In Economics, it’s termed as the “no-free-lunch” principle. The principle explains that you pay the price of your lunch to eat that lunch. In Alchemy, we call it the “Law of Equivalent Exchange” where to gain something, you need to give up something of equivalent value. This is applicable not only in Economics or Alchemy but also in business and trade, the sciences, philosophy and psychology, relationships, the way we live life and, ultimately, life itself. As a special note, things that we perceive as free are not really free. Eventually, someone paid for it.
Simply, we pay the price of something to gain something of equivalence. We reap what we sow. We get what we give.
What I write here is not a matter of opinion but a matter of principle. The Law of Cause and Effect, or The Law of The Farm, or The Law of Equivalent Exchange is a fact, a reality. As I see it, we are better off if we accept this reality. By doing so, we take responsibility of our lives and don’t need to blame anyone or anything on the way we have lived our lives.
The principle is in your hands. Take it. Accept it. Live it. And pay the price of the life you want to live.
