The Law Of The Harvest

The Law of The Farm is a universal principle that states that we always reap what we sow. Be what we sow are flower or weed seeds, we always harvest what we planted. There is no time more evident that the principle is working ( though the law proved to be working even from the very beginning!) but today in our fast paced, internet , striving-for-globalization and fast food eating society. With almost everything being fast paced, many of us think that we can simply cheat the system and still win the day. Many of us have the tendency to think that there's a fix for everything be it on headaches, knee pains, trust or broken relationships. All takes is an aspirin or a quick fix band aid and everything will be alright. WRONG! So often , we think we got away with the acute pain by using these quick fixes only to find ourselves frustrated, angry and regretful all because we didn't invest enough time to really take care of the pain. But instead, we used methods and techniques to get away from the painful experiences. For a short period of time, that is.

In school, cheating and cramming have become socially acceptable values that many of us may graduate with a diploma but without the education.Or in relationships, fake smiles, backbiting and manipulative techniques have become a norm in families, businesses or in politics. Relationship building requires time, patience, understanding, and love. These are things that can 't be compensated by smile techniques, the "right" words or public relations skills. Only character brings life to these techniques and methods. That goes the same in schools, a mind and a heart not after the "ideal" job, grades or diploma as an end but education as an end.

In the final analysis, we are to choose between two roads that are set before us: the shortcut or the long cut.

In traveling the shortcut, we constantly use techniques, get results in the short run and end up frustrated only to repeat the vicious cycle again. Or we can choose to take the long run which is tainted with challenges and years to pay the price of developing our character where eventually, we are able to live the fulfilling and holistic life that we all know we deserve.

Whatever your choice may be, the Law of The Farm will govern. Be what you plant are flowers or weeds.
