The richest place on Earth is not located in America nor in China but in the cemetery. The cemetery is the richest place on Earth because the dreams, hopes and aspirations of billions of people are all buried in there. It’s not only the richest place on Earth but the most musical place too because billions of people have already died in this place with the music still in them.
God has given each and one of us this thing we call “Life” as an opportunity to live out the purpose He intends for us, become the people we ought to be and more importantly realize our unlimited potentials and dreams. Ironically, majority of people have surrendered to a life of misery in a world filled with opportunities to become the best persons we can be and only to have a lot of regrets in their deathbeds. Why is it a lot of people allow their dreams and hopes in life to die with them?
Friends, we always have problems, challenges and setbacks. Yes, we faced some hurtful experiences in the past we can’t change. We have people, some of them are our family members and closest friends, in our lives who don’t support our aspirations. All of these things have stopped a lot of people live out their dreams. But the thing is, just because you face all of these things, would you really allow these things to stop you from becoming the person you’re meant to be, to live a life of meaning and purpose? It’s so easy to be disappointed in life, in the things we can’t control. Instead of focusing in these things, why don’t we focus on the things we can control? Why don’t we focus on the positive and on our dreams in life instead of things we can’t do anything about?
Viktor Frankl, a holocaust survivor during a World War 2 and a psychologist, said,
“Between stimulus and response lies our
indispensable ability to choose our response.”
There are two types of peoples in life. We have those who choose to live a life of misery and die sad who I would call LOSERS. And we have those who choose to live life with the right attitude and become the best person they can be. I call these people as WINNERS. God has given us this life and “Life” is what we make it. God wants us to live our dreams in life but we can’t expect Him to do that for us. We have to do the work and pay the price of our dreams. It’s in our hands. Because if we can’t, we end up regretfully contributing our riches to the richest place on Earth.
You may have problems, challenges and setbacks. You may have a bad past. You may have people around you who don’t support you and, even, humiliate and criticize you. Despite all of these things, do what God intends you to be. Do what’s right. Do what you’re born to be.
Live out your dreams! Become the winner you’re meant to be! It’s your destiny!
